Updates, Thoughts & General Information
Hey wonderful folk,
Its time for the midweek update, and boy is it a doozey!
We have the day event coming up on Saturday, and we are going off to Crusade, to deal with some consequences for peoples actions. We had a great group of crew and I am really looking forward to it!
In a few weeks we are off to Fort Widley, and we have a doozey of an event lined up. Into the depths of melnisia, there will be doom laden upon the unwary in the dark!
Then, September, and we are back at Caddihoe! Looks like we have a LOT of dwarfes. However, I could always do with some more crew, so, if you fancy joining us in a war-torn corner of Gate to create all the glories and wonders of that strange world: let me know asap!
Thank you all for being part of this, and for those I am going to: see you saturday. For the rest: I'll see you at Fort Widley.... down down deep in the dark....
So my fine buckaroos,
We have a number of exciting things coming up.
1 - The Exeter day event! Off to crusade, for... you know... missing people! Still trying to get folk to confirm playing or crewing, so if you are coming could you do that ASAP! Thank you!
2 - The August event is coming up, with lots of things in the pipeline its almost time to delve into the darkness of Melnisia to see what trouble varios slaves have got into facing down the house that they served...
3 - The September weekender is coming up quickly on its heals, so I am looking forward to heading back to the Gate, for one last attempt to bring some kind of calmness to the swirling mire that was once King Ruperts Kingdom and is now a broken vestige of surviving duchies. The King is dead... long live the....?
While we are all looking forward to the events, I have a question, when your looking at kit for your characters, in what order do you consider things?
For me, its:
Costume and props flesh out the character, weapons can always be borrowed from the club.
What are your thoughts?
For a start, let me apolagise. I have missed the last one and this one is late.
Things have been a tad crazy.
First of all: Looking at the Exeter day event this year: we could do with some more players and crew. If you want to come, but haven't signed up yet, please do so asap.
Secondly, our next weekend event is August, and then we have an event in September.
If you haven't booked yet: now is your time.Get yourself signed up!
I hope your all caught up with the "current events" at the head of each world in the forums and if not, I would go look as soon as possible.
See you all soon folks!
A quick update on a few things, first of all: thank you to everyone that attended the last day event! Despite the heat it was excellent.
Speaking of which, don't forget that the July event has been moved to accomadate a few things, I hope you can make it down nonetheless!
We have started a new idea of updating the worlds on the forums as things occur so that players can hear rumours etc.I hope you enjoy it!
So, the next big weekend is August, we have some fun things in mind, down in the depths of Fort Widley we are going to make a Melnisian holding for you to explore.
Sann are the smallest contingent of players, anyone thought of playing one?
See you soon folks and I hope you have a great week!
Good Afternoon all!
Its time for my midweek update!
We have the day event coming up. Still awaiting to hear what plot for the day event, and to get an accurate number of players and crew, but looks like a good one!
We already have a fantastic set of crew for August and I am really looking forward to dragging the players into the dark under the ground of Fort Widdley to the "wonders" of a Melnisian house.
If you are planning to play: probably a good idea to plan ahead.
I will see all you fine people soon!
PS: If your character had to die, what would you consider to be a "good" death?
First of all: Ouch, but a good ouch.
I do not think I have ever known an event like this. After a slow start the event kicked off insanely.
I ache, I'm tired and it was all worth it.
We have the day events, but the next weekend is August. Thank goodness.
There has been so much IC fallout from this event, the players dug deep and once again, the landscape of the worlds has changed.
ALL HAIL THE FIRST MELNISIAN EMPEROR (The impudent pup!)!!
The North folk continue their run for power and glory.
The Star Chamber continues to try and keep a lid on things.
We are still waiting on plot requests for the next event and it will be interesting to see what comes of this.
Thank you all again for making this worthwhile!
See you soon!
Hey Afternoon People!
Time for your weekly update!(Yup, late again, but there we go.)
- Firstly, looking forward to Saturday, I am really grateful to Coel and the crew who have vollunteered to make sure that the regular event happens, not to mention getting to play!
- Secondly, the insurance has been paid! Thank you to all of you who pulled out the stops to make sure that this happened!
- Thirdly, I am very much looking forward to The Convergance, we have some amazing player input and some fantastic camps being set up (big shout out to Gate and Melnisia for leading the charge, come on everyone else! You can do better than this!)
As an aside, we still have openings in May for crew, you would be welcome!
See you all in the woods soon my wyld friends!
Question: What is the plot you most want to chase at the moment?
A day late, but there we go.
First of all: thank you to all of you that turned up at the day event on Saturday, it was a fab turn out and a greatd day.
Also a massive thank you to everyone who attended the AGM. Its always good to get feedback from the club.
I would also like to thank Exeter Rep Coel for offering to run the next Exeter day event in May. (Looks like we are going to Sann).
Speaking of May, we are still looking for crew for the weekend, if you can make it down that would be fantastic!
Lastly, a huge thank you to the club! Though we are still waiting on the bill for the insurance, we are steadily getting there (as far as I know).
Afternoon you glorious loons!
Its time for the midweek update!
First off all: Thank you all for the amazing support/ideas/etc that you have been throwing at the May event! It is looking awesome!
Secondly: all you that have jumped into crew for the Southampton Day event! It is fantastically helpful!
Thirdly: We have had a massive rise in crew numbers for May, which has been fantastic!
It looks like we are having a May Exeter event, so hang onto your hats people! (Thanks Coel!) Event notification will go up asap.
We have had a huge responce to the AGM which is grand, it looks like even if not everyone can make it, there will be plenty to discuss and much to cellebrate over this the last 12 months!
There are two last things, firstly, if possible can you consider getting membership or paying for events in advance. Our insurance is coming up and also a number of people have suggested raising our prices, so you may wish to get in before that happens.
Lastly, what is your favourite world to play or crew?
Stay safe folks! And I'll see you at the weekend!
Thanks for reading, I have decided that instead of doing small updates and chats throughout the week and ad - hoc, doing one weekly update with whats going on and what we are up to.
- Firstly, a HUGE thank you. So many people have offered to help, taken a more active role in helping to run the club etc, and when you consider the number of players and crew we are enjoying throwing themselves into events, it is fantastic!
- Secondly: have you got anything you want to bring up at the AGM? It is coming VERY quickly now and Katherine is happy to take things you want to discuss even if you can't make it!
- Also regarding the May day event and the weekend we are still looking for crew to make the event a doozy.
And this weeks RolePlay question: what do you think other players reactions would be when you die?
Have a fantastic week people and I will see you soon!
